My work ranges from small, A6 Beachcomber Cards, little mini
assemblages made from found objects, the flotsam of everyday life, to large installation pieces and anything in-between.
Here are some of the smaller pieces...

Wendy's House I & II Each for Equal Exhibition 2020 When JM Barrie penned Peter Pan in 1904, although women may
have exerted certain moral and spiritual influences in the home, in wider
society their place was still non-existent and domestic and maternal care was
something expected of them regardless of class. Yet much like Wendy, deep down we all desire a house, a
home, somewhere we can feel safe… for some though that house, home, will become a place of
subservience, of terror, a place that needs to be escaped from, whatever the
cost… home then becomes a shop doorway, a tent, a caravan, a cave,
somewhere, anywhere, we can hide and feel safe from the world… Vestige - House-Bound Exhibition 2021
traces of everyday life, the briefest of moments, like
fossils, absorbed into the very fabric of a building, a house, a home… It all Comes out in the Wash Photogram Installation The news this summer 2021 has been full of shocking images and
stories of wildfires, flash floods and hurricanes. I am struck by the fragility of life, how it can be swept
away by water, fire or wind in seconds, all ones’ possessions gone…. |
